Following breakfast, we set out for Tarangire National Park, arriving by midday. Our campsite is nestled in a tranquil corner of the park, where we’ll set up tents. Immerse yourself in the African landscape during an afternoon walk along the park’s border. As day turns to night, relish dinner and spend the night at Kigongoni Campsite. A true Tanzanian adventure awaits.
Embark on a full day of adventure with guided Walking Safaris led by an armed ranger, along with captivating game drives within the park. Tarangire National Park boasts a vibrant array of bird species, and depending on the season, you might encounter elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and even lions. Regardless of when you visit, Tarangire offers a wealth of experiences. Conclude your day with a satisfying dinner and spend the night at Kizumba Campsite. Get ready for more remarkable moments.
Today, explore the vast Ngorongoro Crater, a haven of wildlife. This massive volcanic crater boasts Africa’s highest animal concentration, including the ‘big 5’ – lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards. Following breakfast, journey to Olmoti Crater for a half-day walk, often encountering Maasai en route to the captivating waterfalls.
In the afternoon, we continue to our base camp at Empakai Crater (Special Campsite), immersing ourselves in the tranquil allure of this untouched wilderness. As you explore around the lake, you’ll encounter springs teeming with wildlife, while the lake itself hosts flocks of flamingos. Rest for the night at the special Empakai Campsite, surrounded by nature’s beauty. Enjoy the serenity.
Embark on a captivating trek from Empakai to Lake Natron. Descend from the outer hills of the Great Rift Valley, traversing the open plains of the Embulbul depression and journeying through Naiobi village. Encounter the local Maasai, adding cultural richness to your experience.
As you hike, catch glimpses of Oldoinyo Lengai and Mount Meru gracing the horizon. Our trusty companions, donkeys, carry our belongings.
Later, we make our way to the Acacia Campsite for a satisfying dinner and a night’s rest. Prepare for an immersive journey through breathtaking landscapes and engaging encounters.
Today, we embark on a journey to Oldoinyo Lengai, the sole active volcano in Tanzania, revered as the holy mountain of the Maasai. Our trail descends into the Rift Valley escarpment, characterized by steep sections. After a 5-6 hour walk, we arrive at the base of this awe-inspiring mountain.
Here, you have the choice to camp at Chini Ya Mlima campsite or continue to the more comfortable Engaresero campsite, offering the luxury of showers and relief from the heat. Alternatively, you can be picked up by our car at the mountain and driven back to the Engaresero Campsite. Experience this remarkable adventure surrounded by nature’s wonders.
